Connors, Becker Win Matches
Top-seeded Jimmy Connors and defending champion Boris Becker of West Germany easily posted second-round tennis victories today in the $237,400 Stella Artois Grass Courts Championships at Queens Club.
Connors, playing in his first official tournament since serving a 10-week suspension, had no problems with fellow American Peter Fleming, 6-3, 6-2. Becker, who used the Stella Artois victory last year as a springboard to his Wimbledon title, brushed aside Andrei Chesnokov of the Soviet Union 6-4, 6-2.
