One man was killed and another critically injured in a shooting in a Southeast San Diego apartment early Sunday, and about 13 hours later a passing motorist fired shots and tossed a Molotov cocktail into the same apartment, police said.

Richard Louis Moore, 26, and Craig Steven McGee, 28, both of San Diego, were found with multiple gunshot wounds in the apartment in the 400 block of South Gloria Street about 2 a.m., police said. Moore was taken to Paradise Valley Hospital, where he died within an hour. McGee was reported in critical condition at Mercy Hospital with neck and chest wounds.

About 3 p.m. Sunday, a man in a 1967 car reportedly drove by the apartment building, fired shots from a rifle and threw the fire bomb into the same apartment.
