Irvine : Police Arrest 2, Seize $3 Million in Drugs
Huntington Beach police arrested two men Wednesday as they were leaving the Holiday Inn in Irvine allegedly carrying a suitcase of speed.
Police said the suitcase contained approximately 30 pounds of methamphetamine, commonly known as speed, and had a street value of $3 million.
Taken into custody were Anthony Fuga, 19, of Huntington Beach and Duke Sooala Fuga, 23, of San Diego. Police said both men, who are unemployed, were booked at the Huntington Beach Jail on suspicion of possession and sale of the drug.
It was one of the largest seizures in the county of the drug in years, police said.
