Viewpoint / Letters : Media Draw Yellow Card for World Cup Coverage

We were disappointed because the news media did not show any interest in the 1986 World Cup soccer tourney in Mexico. I realize the USA is not so interested in it as some other countries, but after all, this nation is the melting-pot country, and most of the people are descendants from other countries.

Even though I was born in this country, I am a soccer fan. Neither the newspapers nor the TV news carried any information regarding the games.
