Dispatcher Raped: A 23-year-old woman working as dispatcher for a firm in Irvine was preparing to close the office just after midnight Sunday when she was confronted by a man just outside the office door, forced back into the office and raped, Irvine police said. The rapist fled without inflicting further injuries or attempting to rob the woman, police said. The assailant was described as in his early to mid-20s, about 5-foot-10, and weighing about 160 to 165 pounds. He had a 1- to 1 1/2-inch thick Afro haircut, Army fatigue-type jacket and jeans, police said.
