A woman already jailed on a burglary charge has been arrested on suspicion of murder in the death of an elderly woman who suffered an apparent heart attack as her son fought off an intruder in their home, authorities said. Detectives investigating the death of Fannie Lazarowitz, 91, found Frances Louise Davis, 33, already booked in the Inglewood Jail in connection with an unrelated burglary, Deputy Drew Basey said. Lazarowitz collapsed while the intruder, armed with a knife and handgun, struggled with her son, Solomon, 71, in the family’s home near Inglewood. The female robber escaped with an undetermined amount of cash and a household appliance. Lazarowitz died about an hour later from an apparent heart attack. Solomon, who lived in the house with his mother for 25 years, was not hurt.
