Pilot Joyce Hansen landed on a freeway in San Jose when she started to run out of fuel on a flight from Riverside to Salinas, the California Highway Patrol said. The Ontario woman was helped by a truck driver who weaved from lane to lane to prevent cars from interfering with the emergency landing. There were no injuries and Hansen resumed her flight after taxiing for two miles on the freeway to reach the San Jose Airport.
