Police narcotics agents in Fresno arrested three Southern California residents and confiscated heroin and cocaine they said was worth $1 million on the street. Officers said the arrests were made after undercover officers were shown 6 ounces of heroin and 2 1/2 pounds of cocaine that the suspects were offering for sale. Booked on charges of possession of heroin and cocaine for sale were Sylvester Valle, 56, of Escondido, and Jaime Quinones, 34, and Yolanda Valasquez, 36, both of Paramount. Officers said Valasquez was also charged with possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony, because she was reportedly carrying a loaded .45-caliber automatic pistol when she was arrested. Investigators said the three were believed to be major drug suppliers in the Fresno and Modesto areas.
