A Day for Disabled

Share

For three hours Tuesday, more than 4,000 disabled visitors had the run of the Orange County Fair, where rides were slowed and accessibility was increased.

Daily attendance at the fair broke records all three days of the opening weekend and missed a record by just 12 on Monday. Tuesday evening promised to break another milestone, as 15,100 tickets were sold by 6 p.m., compared to 12,133 last year. Cumulative attendance for the fair’s first four days--164,842 visitors--is “astounding,” a fair spokeswoman said. The previous record of 151,542 was set in 1981.
