Utah Jazz owner Larry Miller is interested in making Philadelphia 76er free agent Julius Erving an offer after the NBA salary cap rises later this summer, the Philadelphia Daily News reported. Erving earned about $1.4 million last season.
“I’m not trying to do anything for dramatic effect,” Miller said. “If, for any reason, the emotional aspects don’t make sense for Julius, then he shouldn’t do it. I wouldn’t be offended if he said he wasn’t interested.”
Meanwhile, John Nash, 76er general manager, said the 76ers plan to re-sign Erving.
