The family of a young attorney who died in a 1983 office fire in Santa Ana won $16.6 million in a settlement made last Wednesday.
The beneficiaries are Kathy Harrison, 36, and her daughter, Lindsey, 3. The suit was in the death of Wesley Harrison, 33, who was trapped in the fire at the Builders Exchange Assn. office building in Santa Ana in December, 1983.
The mother will receive $1.6 million in cash, and the daughter will get an estimated $15 million over her lifetime.
