An earthquake measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale shook the Fox Islands near Unalaska, Alaska, causing minor damage in the town, the U.S. Geological Survey reported. The quake, the fourth in the last 24 hours, was centered about 40 miles southwest of Unalaska, a fishing community in the Aleutian Islands chain. No injuries were reported in the temblors.
