Burbank Planning Board Fills Seat
Business consultant Tim Flavin has been appointed by the Burbank City Council to the Burbank Planning Board, filling a vacancy created when former Chairman Paul Downing resigned last month.
In accepting the appointment Wednesday, Flavin, 40, resigned from the Burbank Police Commission. He is expected to sit on the Planning Board at its meeting Monday, officials said.
Downing said he quit the Planning Board over frustration with what he said was the council’s refusal to consider his nominee to fill a board vacancy that was created when Graham Ritchie resigned. Downing wanted Tim Milner appointed. Ritchie, the previous chairman, resigned last month because of business obligations.
Councilman Michael R. Hastings said the council considered Milner but opted to appoint Herbert Vincent, a real estate agent.
