Share

A toddler sitting in his father’s car was shot and critically wounded by a man who opened fire on the vehicle in an attempt to scare off several men arguing with his teen-age son, Inglewood police said. De’Andre Wherry, 17 months, was in critical but stable condition at Centinela Hospital Medical Center with a bullet wound in the abdomen, Sgt. Robert Snowden said. Arrested on suspicion of attempted murder was Cedrick A. Decoud, 36, whose teen-age son had been involved in a sidewalk argument with the baby’s father, Greg Wherry, 20, Snowden said. Decoud told police he fired at the car trying to scare off Wherry and several of his friends who had parked their car and confronted his son in front of the Decoud home in the 3600 block of 110th Street, Snowden said.
