Anaheim : Angelo’s Given Until Aug. 4 to Get Permits
The newest Angelo’s restaurant in Anaheim has received an extension until Aug. 4 to get operating permits from the city or face closure.
The ‘50s-style, drive-in, drive-through restaurant at 211 N. Beach Blvd. opened a few months ago without several city permits.
In a separate matter, restaurant owners have a date Aug. 5 with the City Council to hear whether Angelo’s will be allowed to sell alcoholic beverages and operate an outdoor eating area on Beach Boulevard. The Planning Commission earlier denied those permits.
Angelo’s owners have protested that the previous owners of the building operated restaurants without such permits for a decade, but the city requested them only when Angelo’s moved in.
