A fourth University of Miami football player is being investigated for possible NCAA violations involving the use of late-model cars owned or leased by sports agents, the school announced.
Running back Cleveland Gary, a highly regarded sophomore transfer from the University of Georgia, is driving a 1986 Corvette, which tax accountant and agent Mel Levine said was leased from his company by Gary’s uncle, Willie Gary.
Last week, defensive tackle Jerome Brown, fullback Alonzo Highsmith and linebacker Winston Moss all acknowledged using sports cars leased from a company owned by Levine.
Athletic Director Sam Jankovich said he expects the probe to be completed by Tuesday.
