MCA announced plan to buy back 4% of its stock.

MCA, the entertainment conglomerate and parent of Universal Studios, said its board has authorized the company to purchase the 3 million shares on the open market or through private transactions. At its closing price Tuesday of $45.37 1/2 per share, the stock would be worth about $136 million. The stock is to be used for general corporate purposes and for executive compensation, the company said.
