Scholarship Awards Made

Three scholarships and four drafting competition awards have been presented to Southland high school and college students by the Los Angeles chapter of the National Assn. of Women in Construction.

Scholarship recipients are Angela Harris, Cal Poly Pomona, $1,000; Dien Nguyen, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, $750, and Lisa Lopez, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, $250. All three are studying architecture.

Ed Rayas of Reseda High School won the $200 first-place drafting award. Courtney McCleod of Cleveland High School won the $150 second-place award; George Henderson of Washington High School was third for $125, and Alex Nager of Fairfax High School won the $100 fourth-place award.
