Loans for Fire Victims: Residents of the Casa de Valencia Apartments who lost personal property in the July 3 fire are eligible for low-interest loans from the Small Business Administration, according to Fire Department Division Chief Jeff Bowman. Loans of up to $20,000 are designed to cover uninsured and under-insured losses. Interest rates on the loans will vary from 4% to 8%, depending on the availability of other credit sources. Appointments with disaster loan counselors are available through the Fire Department today from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. or after today by calling (800) 468-1713 or by writing Small Business Assistance, Disaster Assistance Center, P.O. Box 13795, Sacramento, Calif. 95853-4795.
