Drug Program Ordered for Police Board Official’s Son
The son of Los Angeles Police Commission Vice President Barbara L. Schlei has been placed in a drug diversion program for two years.
As a result of his June arrest for the purchase of about .2 of a gram of rock cocaine, Graham L. Schlei, 18, was ordered into the the program on Monday by West Los Angeles Municipal Judge Richard G. Berry. If he successfully completes the program, the case will be dismissed.
Schlei was arrested on a Venice street corner by members of a Los Angeles Police narcotics task force as he allegedly bought the drug.
