San Diego
A San Diego man was killed when his car went out of control while traveling at 100 m.p.h. east on California 94 and careened down a 50-foot embankment Thursday, the California Highway Patrol said.
James Creason, 40, was driving in the left lane at 7:10 p.m. when the car went out of control, a CHP spokeswoman said. He crossed over to the right lane and ran off the embankment just west of College Avenue.
Creason was declared dead at the scene.
