Former NFL running back Chuck Muncie was issued a misdemeanor citation for allegedly beating his wife at a beach motel in San Diego.

Lt. Bud Collier of the San Diego Police said officers arrived at the scene after receiving a telephone call from Robyn Muncie. Her husband was cited but was not taken into custody, and police said she showed no signs of injury.
