The daughter and grandson of Detroit Tiger hitting coach Vada Pinson were injured in an apparent murder-suicide attempt at the women’s Oakland apartment, police reported.
A police spokesman said 23-year-old Renee Pinson, who sustained two “‘minor” gunshot wounds in the head, was released after medical treatment and arrested for attempted murder.
Her child, 3-year-old Raymond Maddox III, was critically wounded by a shot to the head and was being treated at the intensive care unit of Children’s Hospital.
