Bubba Smith’s Action Sets Example for Others

Bubba Smith’s decision to quit making beer commercials (Scott Ostler, Sept. 9) shows there is still human decency around. It shows Bubba is a real sportsman, a real hero, a real role model, a real winner and, most important, a real man.

All that money he is not making would never pay for the feeling he has now, knowing that he is no more a pusher of the drug which spells destruction. Our hats are off to Bubba and our pleas are to other sports personalities to follow Bubba’s example: Stop being a pusher!
