ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. —
Middleweight Michael Nunn boxed effectively on the outside, scoring a unanimous 10-round decision over Mike Tinley of Camden, N.J., Friday night.
Nunn (18-0 with 11 knockouts) presented a moving target to the frustrated Tinley (19-4). He made a pattern of landing short punches, retreating from counterpunching range and attacking from another angle.
Nunn, from Los Angeles, was an alternate on the 1984 U.S. Olympic team behind silver medalist Virgil Hill.
