The estranged wife of former major league manager Billy Martin has filed a $500,000 lawsuit in Martinez, Calif., asking the court to prohibit Martin from ejecting her and her family from their Danville home.

Heather Martin said Martin is trying to throw her, her mother, her 75-year-old grandmother and her 9-year-old brother out of the home into which she and Martin moved in 1980.

Mrs. Martin, 26, said she and Martin, 58, began living together in May 1980. The couple married in November 1982 and separated in October 1985.
