UCLA Gives Banachowski 500th Volleyball Win

The UCLA women’s volleyball team presented Coach Andy Banachowski with his 500th match victory Saturday night as the Bruins defeated Texas, 17-15, 15-13, 3-15, 15-9 at Austin, Tex. Lori Zeno led the way with 19 spikes, and Wendy Fletcher added 14 spikes for the fifth-ranked Bruins (11-3).
Banachowski became only the second coach in Division I women’s volleyball ever to win 500 matches. Linda Dollar of Southwest Missouri State was first.
