2 Injured in Hospital Shooting

TACOMA, Wash. —
A gunman opened fire in a hospital emergency room this morning, getting off six rounds and critically wounding a doctor and a woman before he fled on foot, authorities said.
Police dogs were brought in to help track the gunman as deputies began searching a one-square-mile area around Lakewood General Hospital. Each of the two victims, a male doctor and a woman who did not work at the hospital, was hit more than once by bullets from the small-caliber handgun. They were undergoing surgery for their wounds.
