Maryland basketball Coach Lefty Driesell says he feels secure about his future at the school, even though athletic director Dick Dull has resigned.
Since basketball player Len Bias died of cocaine intoxication June 19, and subsequent disclosures of poor academic work by some in Driesell’s program, the coach’s performance has been under scrutiny. Driesell said he was mildly surprised by Dull’s decision, saying, “I knew he’d been upset, but I guess I didn’t know how upset.”
