Memories of Days on Roller Skates
My first job after high school was filling catalogue orders at Montgomery Ward in Albany, N.Y. I roller-skated all day also. This was in 1939 .
I assure you my salary was about 50 cents an hour and we also received a bonus for orders over our quota. But also for every error a deduction from this bonus.
The article brought back a few old memories.
