Viewpoint / Letters : Raines Should Make Speedy ‘Recovery’

Tim Raines is a great ballplayer. Too bad he was “sick” or was “nursing a minor injury” as he sat out four of the last five games of the season as he backed into the batting championship.

Although it is likely, now that the season is over and Tony Gwynn and Steve Sax can no longer catch him, that Raines will rapidly return to full health, I urge all baseball fans to mail Raines a get well card in care of the Montreal Expos.
