Struggling Steelers Face Bengals Tonight
The Pittsburgh Steelers hope history can indeed repeat itself.
The Steelers opened the 1976 NFL season 1-4, the same record they take into tonight’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals (3-2) at Riverfront Stadium.
The 1976 Steelers beat Cincinnati, 23-6, igniting a 10-game winning streak that carried them into the American Football Conference title game. The Steelers followed their victory over Cincinnati with three consecutive shutouts, and allowed only 22 points in the final eight regular-season games.
