Cowboy Victory May Do His Heart Good

AUSTIN, Tex. —
A 59-year-old man who underwent a two-hour heart transplant operation was in critical but stable condition Monday, perhaps bolstered by the outcome of the Cowboy-Redskin NFL game.
Doctors removed a breathing tube from the unidentified patient late Sunday.
“The first thing he said was, ‘What did Dallas do?’ ” said Bobby Richards, coordinator of the heart transplant program at Seton Medical Center. He was told that Dallas beat Washington, 30-6.
