Akron Runs Over Murray State, 24-13

AKRON, Ohio —
Mike Clark gained 24 of his 84 yards in the second half as the University of Akron used a powerful running attack to defeat Murray (Ky.) State, 24-13, in an Ohio Valley Conference game Thursday night.
Akron is 4-2 under former Notre Dame Coach Gerry Faust and 1-1 in the conference. Murray State fell to 2-3-1 and 1-1.
Clark, Akron’s all-time leading runner with 3,546 yards, carried the ball 34 times and had his 19th 100-yard game.
