Former pro football player Jack Spikes was sentenced to four years in federal prison for defrauding a Dallas area bank of $388,000 while serving as its chairman in 1983.
Spikes, 48, who played seven years with the Dallas Texans, Kansas City Chiefs, San Diego Chargers, Houston Oilers and Buffalo Bills, pleaded guilty Aug. 15 to two counts of a 14-count federal indictment returned by a grand jury in May.
