A disabled man and his wife were killed in their Oxnard home during an apparent burglary and their bodies were discovered by their son several days later. Police said William Galloway, 63, and his wife Modena, 55, appeared to have died from multiple severe head injuries probably inflicted by one or more intruders. Their bodies were discovered by their son, William J. Galloway, who became concerned when he was unable to contact his parents by phone. Detective Sgt. Bob Elder said the elder Galloway’s body was in a hallway and that of his wife was in a bedroom. “The home was in disarray, indicating the couple fought with their assailants before they were beaten to death,” he said.
