PREP FOOTBALL : South Coast : Morgan Has His Night as Tritons Win

It wasn’t announced in the program, nor were there any signs or posters pronouncing it as so, but it was Dan Morgan Night at Irvine High School Thursday.
The senior running back scored three touchdowns, recovered a fumble and rushed for 164 yards in 16 carries to lead San Clemente to a 21-14 South Coast League victory over Irvine.
Morgan scored on a five-yard run to tie the score, 7-7, with 3:05 left in the first quarter. He put the Tritons (1-3, 4-5) ahead, 14-7, in the third quarter with an 80-yard run down the right sideline.
Then, with 4:41 remaining, Morgan broke the 14-14 tie with a five-yard run up the middle.
