Santa Monica : College’s Enrollment Drops
Santa Monica College’s enrollment is 22,485 students this fall, compared to 23,148 a year ago.
The 3% decrease was planned to conform with enrollment limitations imposed by the state to balance the number of students in the Santa Monica and Los Angeles community college districts, officials said.
Of the fall enrollees, 18,594 are in college-credit programs and the remainder are in ungraded adult programs.
A talk on the college’s transfer program will be presented for the Patrons Assn. at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the college board room, 1900 Pico Blvd. The program is open to the public.
