A young woman fell from a truck she was driving Monday afternoon and the vehicle rolled over her, causing critical injuries, according to Garden Grove Police Sgt. Chuck Gibbs.
Gibbs said the driver, Cheryl Post, 26, of Garden Grove, was alone in the truck and was driving east on Trask Avenue about 4:15 p.m. Witnesses told police that as Post turned her truck south onto Magnolia Avenue, the driver’s door flew open. The truck then ran over a curb and hit a concrete pillar, knocking Post out of the vehicle.
Gibbs said that after the woman fell out, the truck rolled backward over her. She suffered “massive internal injuries” and was in “very critical condition” at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital, Gibbs said.
