Anaheim : Pedestrian Struck by Car Dies of Injuries
An 86-year-old woman died several hours after she was struck by a car while trying to walk across the intersection of Lincoln and Topanga avenues, police said Wednesday.
Betty Elizabeth Whalen of Anaheim died of injuries at UCI Medical Center 8:15 p.m. Tuesday, Lt. Jack Parra said.
The driver of the car was heading west at about 2:15 p.m. when he struck the victim, who was walking south. Parra said the driver was not cited but that an investigation is continuing.
