Pomona police said they have no suspects in the murders of two men who were shot to death in the same neighborhood. Investigators said Robert Gonzales, 40, a transient, was asleep on a rear patio at 829 W. Monterey Avenue, and Ernest Dickerson, 52, who lived at 348 W. Holt Ave. was asleep in a car abandoned behind a laundry building at 838 W. Holt Ave., when they were struck by several .22 caliber rifle bullets, apparently fired from close range. Gonzales was pronounced dead at the scene. Dickerson died a few hours later at Pomona Valley Community Hospital. Detectives said no one appeared to have heard the shots, and there were no witnesses.
