Golf Roundup : Nakajima Is Leading by 2

Japan’s Tsuneyuki Nakajima shot a 69 Saturday for a 206 total and held a two-shot lead after three rounds of the $812,500 Dunlop Phoenix golf tournament at Miyazaki, Japan.

Graham Marsh of Australia had a 68 and was in second place. Bobby Wadkins had the day’s best round, a 67, and was tied for third with Japan’s Masashi Ozaki at 209.

Greg Norman shot a six-under-par 66 to move within two shots of leader Terry Gale, who shot a 68 and had a 206 total after three rounds of the $100,000 Western Australian Open at Perth..

Kuo Chi-hsiung of Taiwan shot a one-under-par 71 in heavy rain to take a one-stroke lead at 208 in the $300,000 Chiang Kai-shek Centennial tournament at Taipei, Taiwan. Hale Irwin and Arnold Palmer were tied for 39th place at 237. Irwin shot a 79 and Palmer an 81.

Bruce Crampton shot a five-under-par 67 for a 132 total and increased his lead to four strokes after 36 holes of the $200,000 Shearson Lehman Brothers Senior tournament at Delray Beach, Fla. Butch Baird, who shot a 68, was second.
