Downey : Graffiti Removal Hot Line
Residents who want speedy graffiti removal can now use the city’s Graffiti Removal Hotline Service.
The hot line, the second phase of the city’s graffiti removal program, recently went into effect, said Laura Nash, an administrative assistant in the Community Development Department.
Residents can call the 24-hour City Hall number, 923-4484, and their complaint will be reported to the Graffiti Removal Co. in Montebello, which has been removing graffiti in Downey since April, when the program began.
“We want to remove graffiti as soon as it appears and this is the best way of helping the contractor respond as quickly as possible,” Nash said.
Since April, graffiti has been removed at 116 locations, Nash said.
