Local News in Brief : Simi Woman Killed by Car Near Frazier Park
A Simi Valley woman was struck and killed by an automobile Friday while she was collecting cans along a road near Frazier Park in Kern County, authorities said.
Patsy O’Brien, 47, was walking along the shoulder of Cuddy Valley Road when she was struck by a car that swerved to avoid traffic that had stopped ahead, California Highway Patrol officer Monty Kiefer said. O’Brien was pronounced dead at the scene, he said.
No charges were filed against the driver, he said.
