Former NFL quarterback Dan Pastorini took advantage of a foul by Don (Big Daddy) Garlits to score a Top Fuel win in the $244,000 Snowbird Nationals drag racing event at Bradenton, Fla.
Pastorini, 37, won in the semifinals when Garlits crossed the starting line before the green light came on. Pastorini then disposed of Jimmy King in the final.
Pastorini, who earned $18,000, was clocked in 5.802 seconds and 224.43 m.p.h.
