Tujunga Motorcyclist Killed in Collision
A 29-year-old Tujunga man was killed Sunday evening when his motorcycle was struck by an oncoming car at a Tujunga intersection, Los Angeles police said.
Jeffery Scott Smith was eastbound on Foothill Boulevard at 6:20 p.m. when his motorcycle was struck by a car attempting to turn left onto Valmont Street, Officer Robert Rowe said.
Smith was pronounced dead at Verdugo Hills Hospital in Glendale.
His wife, Karen Smith, 25, a passenger on the motorcycle, suffered bruises and a fractured hip, Rowe said. She was listed in serious condition Monday at Holy Cross Hospital in Mission Hills.
No traffic citations were issued, but an investigation of the accident is continuing, Rowe said.
