Local News in Brief : Employee Kills Suspect in Liquor Store Holdup
A man trying to rob a Sherman Oaks liquor store Monday night was fatally shot by a store employee, Los Angeles police said.
The lone robber, who was not identified, was shot about 8:30 p.m. after entering Tony’s Liquor Store at 13368 Ventura Boulevard, Sgt. Larry Bradfield said.
Detectives still were investigating the shooting late Monday, Bradfield said.
