Norwalk : City Seal as Promotion
A request by a business to use the city seal on a promotional item was approved 3-2 by the City Council.
The council also ordered a study to come up with a policy under which organizations or businesses will be allowed to use the city seal.
The request was made by Vernola’s Towing, owned by city Planning Commissioner Luigi A. Vernola, which will use the city seal on coffee cups to be given out to honor the city’s 30th anniversary.
Mayor Robert White and Councilwoman Grace Napolitano voted against having the seal used in commercial ventures.
