Fond Remembrances of Actor Cary Grant

Share

I had the great pleasure of meeting and knowing Cary Grant when I worked at Warner Bros. Studios in the 1940s while he was starring in “Night and Day,” cast as musical composer Cole Porter.

Grant was much more than a charming and witty personality; he was a talented actor and most important, a good human being who cared about people. In later years, I often met him at Hollywood Park during the racing season, where he was a director. He always displayed a keen interest in those in attendance, anxious to see them enjoy themselves. He had a quality that is not found in everyone today--class. He will be missed on and off the screen . . . night and day.
