Crash Kills 2 Marines: Two Marines were killed Friday night when their motorcycles collided head-on on Irvine Boulevard east of Sand Canyon Avenue, the California Highway Patrol reported. Officer Matt Clark said one motorcyle traveling east at a high rate of speed hit a sign and spun into the westbound lane, striking the other. The Marines, both from the El Toro Marine Corps Air Station, were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities were withheld until relatives are notified.
